Prashar Lake

This lake is the primary attraction of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh and looks exquisite in the winters when the icy blue waters freeze into a shimmering blue disc glistening against the snow-capped mountain ranges pitted against the stunning green meadows. The three-storied picturesque temple shaped like a pagoda which is located beside the lake is dedicated to Sage Prashar. This temple remains partially buried under snow during the winters. There are other attractions situated close by such as the quaint little hamlet of Chindi, the ancient temple of Shikhar Devi and the divine Kamru Nag Lake.
