Itinerary

Day 1Delhi to Shimla (360KMS/08HRS)

On your arrival at the Delhi Airport or Delhi Railway station, we shall greet you with a warm welcome and arrange for a pickup and smooth and hassle-free immediate transfer to the queen of hill stations, Shimla. On the way, take a break with hill viewpoints among natural beauty and explore the two major tourist attractions.

Pinjore Garden: This beautiful garden is said to be Asia’s most fabulous garden built along the foothills of Himalayas with the mystic Shivalik ranges standing at a distance. It replicates the Mughal-style of landscaping and is built in terraced form in a wide area of 100 acres and is a serene oasis of natural beauty amidst concerete jungle.

Timber Trail: It is a beautiful and unique luxurious property that is located on a solitary hill in the folds of the Shivalik Ranges in Parwanoo. Timber Trail Heights presents a refreshing escapade from the hustle and bustle of city but is not that far from city centre and the destination is quickly accessible.

Day 2Excursion to Kufri

Day 02 has been earmarked for a half day trip to Kufri. After breakfast set out for Kufri visit. Kufri has various attractive tourist destinations. Kufri is about 20 kms away from the Shimla city centre.

  • Viceregal Lodge the majestic building of the British age built way back in 1885 exhibits some very ancient British literature and photos and definitely makes for an interesting visit.
  • Christ Church built in 1844 is the second oldest Church in Northern India. It is built in the Neo-Gothic style and has a dominating presence on account of its magnificent architectural intricacies. It is majestic and prominently outlines the Shimla sky-line.
  • The Gaiety Theatre opened for public for the first time in 1887 is an ancient building depicting a Gothic style of architecture and Victorian finesse. It is known for staging the talents of many well-known personalities such as Rudyard Kipling, Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Baten Powel and K. L. Sehgal.
  • The Ridge always busy and bustling and the most popular tourist point in Shimla is located on the Shimla Mall road. It is situated in the heart of the city and tourists and travellers come in large numbers to The Ridge. The point offers stunning views and plenty of pleasant sunshine.
  • The Mall Road of Shimla is a shopper’s paradise and sees huge crowd day in and day out buying exquisite local handicrafts, woollen shawls, colourful caps and sweaters, stoles and carpets, exquisite jewellery, decorative items and a lot more.

Return to the Shimla hotel by evening for a timely dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3Shimla to Manali (265 Kms/08 Hrs)

After grabbing an early morning breakfast, you check out of the Shimla hotel for a transfer by road to Manali. On the way to Manali watch the meandering mountain roads and take in the beauty of the endless range of the blue mountains and thick green cover with an occasional glimpse of a waterfall or a mountain stream flowing by. Also, en route stop over to visit various interesting sites.

Pandoh Dam is a picturesque dam built across the River Beas and offers a peaceful place to camp, relax, raft, boat and have a lovely family time. The man-made reservoir has sparkling green waters that reflect the beauty of the surrounding forests and high mountain peaks. This serene nature paradise is about 10 kms away from Manali.
Hanogi Mata Temple in the Kullu district is a sacred shrine set against a serene and beautiful mountain backdrop. It overlooks the widely stretching valleys from the hilltop. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mata Hanogi and is a favourite religious haunt. A quaint stream runs beside the temple that adds to the beauty of the temple settings.
On arrival at Manali check in at the hotel of your choice. Have a peaceful and relaxing dinner and retire to rooms for an overnight stay at the Manali hotel.

Day 4Manali Local Sightseeing

This day is scheduled for sightseeing of the magical and snow-covered Manali. After having breakfast you shall be taken for a gala sightseeing of the tourist places in and around Manali. Enjoy the lush green valleys and the magnificence of the never-ending snow-capped ranges beyond. Spend the day visiting the interesting tourist spots such as the Hadimba Temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi, Manu Temple dedicated to the Sage Manu, Vashisht Bath for a healing dip in the sulphurous waters, Van Vihar to spot some shady trees and a quaint little pond to boat and Tibetan Monastery for a peep into the authentic Tibetan culture. Conclude the day with an exciting evening shopping at the local market on the bustling Mall Road. In Manali you can also look for additional adventure through the activities such as skiing, paragliding, rock climbing, river rafting, camping and a lot more. Come back to the hotel by evening for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5Rohtang Pass (100 Kms Round Trip)

On Day 05 you shall go for a guided trip to the Nature lovers’ paradise Rohtang Pass. It is the high-altitude pass which is the gateway to the starkly beautiful Lahual and Spiti Valleys. Situated at a stupendous altitude of 3979 metres above sea level and at a distance of about 51 kms from Manali on the Manali-Keylong Highway, Rohtang Pass offers stunning and unending view of the Himalayan ranges. It is a special attraction for nature enthusiasts and adventure lovers. Enjoy the cold climate and the cool breeze, frozen snows and the glittering beauty of snowy peaks. Get back to the hotel by evening. After a tiring and enjoyable sumptuous dinner and settle for an overnight stay at the Manali Hotel.

Day 6Manali to Dharmshala (280 Kms/10 Hrs)

After breakfast, proceed for a check out from the Manali hotel. Our representative shall arrange for an immediate transfer to the Tibetan fanciful hill town of Dharamshala. On the way, visit the popular Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings. Also visit the Kullu Shawl Weaving Centre and pick up some lovely and warm shawls for your friends and dear ones to create some precious memories.

On reaching Dharamshala check in at the hotel of your choice. Rest of the day at leisure. You can opt for a stroll across the beautiful streets of the sleepy hill town and watch the lovely and quaint little houses with beautiful gardens full of fresh blossoms. Walk in to a café close by to sip and explore the local cuisines or a warm cup of coffee. Explore the property and have an early dinner followed by an overnight stay at the Dharamshala hotel.

Day 7Dharmshala (Sightseeing) / Dharmshala to Dalhousie (145 Kms/05 Hrs)

After breakfast, proceed for a guided tour of the Dharamshala City. Among the local tourist attractions visit the following for a complete experience of Dharamshala

  • Dalai Lama Temple is a nice, serene and cosy temple with picturesque settings where you can indulge in prayers, meditation, turning prayer wheels, enjoying the books in the library and tasting the romance of Tibetan culture and art.
  • Namgyal Monastery, established in 1992, is the seat of Dalai Lama and other Buddhist monks who reside and pray here. The monastery holds regular sessions that you can witness and participate and feel the power and peace of meditation. Rotate the prayer wheels and chant the Buddhist mantras.
  • Enjoy the joyous beauty of nature by visiting Dal lake, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Gyuto Monastery, St. John Church and Naddi view point.
  • Go for an exciting shopping adventure at the Mall Road. You can venture out into the Kotwali Bazaar or the Jogiwara Road Street market and shop for beautiful and colourful mementos such as miniature Tibetan flags, prayer wheels, junk jewellery, Buddha statues of various colour, texture and design, exquisite handicrafts and much more.

Day 8Dalhousie – Chamba – Khajjiar

From Dalhousie explore the close-by prominent tourist destinations. After breakfast, proceed to visit the exciting point of Kalatop covered by a rich mountain pine and conifer vegetation and the winding mountain paths and if luck may have it encounter a chance rare Himalayan bird or feline species apart from the abundant deer and birds and monkeys.

Also visit the grand and cool beautiful meadows of Khajjiar and get the feel of being in mini-Switzerland with exquisite beauty. The glen has thick and rich cover of vegetation and is surrounded by magnificent hills and forests of cedar, birch, pine, deodar and spruce.

Next visit the temple land of Holy Chamba spread on the banks of River Ravi. It is famous for its temples such as the Chamunda Devi Temple, the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and the Bajreshwari Temple. Also visit the interesting Bhuri Singh Museum to see the local handicrafts displayed in glory. After an eventful day of sightseeing, drive back to the Dalhousie hotel for a tasty dinner spread and overnight stay.

Day 9Dalhousie to Delhi (520 Kms/12 Hrs)

The last day of the trip is for bidding adieu to the enchanting Dalhousie. Check out from the Dalhousie Hotel after morning breakfast. We shall arrange for a smooth transfer to Delhi and then we shall drop you at the Delhi Airport or Delhi Railway station for your onward journey back home.
