St. John in the Wilderness Church, hidden away among lush, green deodar trees, is one of the most serene and well-known destinations in Dharamshala. The John the Baptist Anglican Church was built in 1852. It is located on the road leading to McLeod Ganj and is about 8 kilometres from Dharamshala.

Due to its stunning neo-gothic design, the cathedral is a favourite site for those who admire architecture. The stained-glass windows made in Belgium add to this hallowed site’s beauty. Despite being one of the older structures in the area, it is among the most important churches in Himachal Pradesh due to its distinctive architecture and peaceful environment.
