War Memorial is one of the most well-liked attractions in Dharamshala and is well worth a visit. It was built as a monument in honour of the brave Kangra soldiers who lost their lives in the wars of 1947–1948, 1962, 1965, and 1971, as well as during UN peacekeeping operations. The memorial’s three gigantic black marble walls are covered with inscriptions listing the names of the soldiers who lost their lives in action. There are also several replicas of artillery, battle tanks, aeroplanes, and other items housed there. The memorial is enhanced in beauty by the wooded and verdant surroundings, which also contribute to the area’s popularity as a tourist destination.
