Arrival at the Queen of Hill Stations, Shimla. Check-in at the hotel of your choice. Rest of the day spend at leisure exploring the property of stay. A leisure walk to the Mall Road in the evening to do some local shopping seems interesting. You can buy some and curious things for your near and dear ones to carry back home. Look for local delights such as trinkets, woollens, junk jewellery and other curious stuff. Grab some tasty titbits at the local restaurants. Get back to hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing of the fascinating tourist places in and around Shimla. Some of the places to visit are the Summer Hill, Annadale, Jhaku Temple and Kalbadevi Temple. As you visit the interesting tourist hubs, take in the picturesque landscape and the breath-taking views all around. The viewpoints are provided with cosy sitting areas to sit and watch the gorgeous sunrises and glorious sunsets that attract a lot of tourists, young and old, who wait pay homage to these nature’s bounty. After a full day of fun and food get back to Shimla hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed for a joyful day trip to the legendary cool locations of Kufri, Chail, Fagu, Naldehra amd Tattapani. Kufri, a hill station of repute, is located 19 kms away from Shimla and one can visit the prime tourist attractions such as Indira Park, Kufri Zoo and indulge in various snow activities in winter. Fagu and Chail are immensely peaceful locations that command exquisite panoramic hill view all around.
Naldehra is situated in a quiet corner of the Himalayas and a majestic view of the snow-clad continuous Himalayan ranges. Tattapani is an area of healing hot water springs and is located around 35 kilometres from Naldehra lower in the valley. The dam catchment area in Naldehra forms a water body and offers serene location to relax and enjoy.
Some believe the best way to know the real Shimla is to walk around! You can start your walk with a stroll across the Mall Road, a joyful avenue of trivial shopping and eating lip-smacking dishes. While you walk down the Mall Road visit the famous Christ Church, that stands tall and possesses an imposing structure. Next to it is the charming building of the State Library. The walk then takes you to the curious Dorje Drag Monastery to let you have a peep at Tibetan forms of worship, their prayer flags, chants of the monks and gives you a chance to turn the mystic prayer wheels. Explore the famous Lakkar Bazaar where you can shop for excellent wood crafts such as typical kitchen accessories, household items, decorative carvings and much more. Mix and talk with the local Shimla people and get to know their way of life better. Eat the local delicacies and come back to the hotel at day end for an overnight stay.
After breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel. You shall enjoy some leisure time for personal activities and thence proceed for your onward journey back home.
